Dog sledding trip - 2 hours - Sisimiut

The dogsled is an important part of the Greenlandic culture. In ancient times it was the only means of transportation in the winter months, when the land was covered with ice and snow.   

The tour goes to the foot of Niujarfik, a natural stop before the steep gradients northeast of Sisimiut town. Before turning back you will have a short break and enjoy a hot drink.

This tour goes through a fairly even terrain, but still gives quite a good impression of what it’s like to ride a dogsled.
