"Kaffemik" with a Greenlandic family

When the locals in Greenland are celebrating something, they are giving a “kaffemik”. This expression can, roughly, be translated into “Come for coffee at our house”.

Kaffemik is more than just having an afternoon coffee together. It is rather an invitation for coffee and Greenlandic cake or buns, where the latest stories are exchanged.
