Toilets at the Ice Cap

On 9 July, WOGAC set up four composting toilets close to the Ice Cap.

The toilets will be used by cruise ship guests and others visiting the Ice Cap and it is a welcome addition especially for elderly visitors.

To avoid damage to the sensitive tundra vegetation the toilet cabins were "slinged in" by an Air Greenland helicopter. The operation was a great succes and lasted only ten minutes.
